Urban Wine Brokers is a family owned company founded in 2010. We are dedicated to introducing, promoting, educating, and selling our clients on small, artisan brands from California, Oregon, Washington and Europe. In our years in the wine industry, we have come across some of the coolest, smartest and most talented winemakers in the industry. We have gathered them together into the UWB portfolio and represent them throughout California.
*POSITION SUMMARY
Commission-based Wine Sales Representatives in the areas of Monterey Peninsula, Central Coast, East Bay, Tahoe; fully flexible hours; 1099.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, manage and maintain relationships with buyersโ€”in-person, by phone and email
Study the Urban portfolio, taste the wines, and become an expert in your area
Submit orders to Urban via email
Communicate regularly with the Urban Team
Attend regular Zoom meetings
Participate with winemakers in market
*QUALIFICATIONS
*MUST HAVE * Prior wine sales experience with established connections in the respective areas
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Detail oriented and organized
*REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 2 years wine sales experience
Excellent verbal, written communication and listening skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment responding quickly to inquiries
Motivated, independent salesperson who has the knack for networking & selling premium wines
Ability to lift and carry a 50 lb. case of wine
Must possess a current driver's license; maintain current auto insurance and a clean driving record
