Lead with purpose in a dynamic logistics environment! Shaw Industries is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of its Regional Distribution Service Center in Fairfield, OH. This leadership role is responsible for guiding a team of ~28 associates - including drivers, and warehouse associates -across two shifts. The facility supports key logistics functions such as receiving, processing, shipping, storing, and delivering flooring products throughout Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia. This is a strategic opportunity to drive operational excellence within a fast-paced, customer-focused distribution network.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the overall performance of the Regional Distribution Center (RDC), ensuring excellence in safety, customer experience, associate engagement, and cost efficiency.
  • Provide clear, consistent direction to associates across all shifts, removing operational barriers and promoting effective daily execution.
  • Drive accountability by working directly with your team to reinforce performance expectations, provide coaching, and support their ongoing growth and engagement.
  • Collaborate daily with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve customer exceptions and uphold Shaw's high standards for service delivery.
  • Communicate regularly with Director of Regional Operations to report on facility performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all associates, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols.
  • Motivate and empower associates to meet facility goals, implementing process improvements and fostering a culture of ownership and initiative.
  • Expand market presence for Shaw Truck by negotiating freight rates and securing new business, while ensuring customer needs are met consistently.
  • Optimize the use of transportation equipment and personnel to ensure timely and efficient delivery and pick-up services.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of logistics experience; or associate degree and 3+ years of logistics experience or High School Diploma/GED & 5-7 years of logistics management/supervisor experience.
  • Capability and aspiration to progress within the organization.
  • Experience working with hourly associates, with a demonstrated ability to guide teams toward shared operational goals.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop leadership teams to improve performance and operational efficiency.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards and driving continuous improvement across all areas of responsibility.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Customer Service, to meet customer expectations.
  • Hands-on experience managing operational processes and resolving challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership experience within large and diverse organizational structures.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction across teams and with external partners.
