Die Setter โ€“ 2nd & 3rd Shifts (Injection Molding)

Full-Time ยท 2nd & 3rd Shifts
Locations: Auburn Hills, Port Huron & Sterling Heights, MI

Job Summary:

Our client, a leading plastics manufacturer and Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking experienced Die Setters to support production operations on 2nd and 3rd shifts across multiple plant locations. These roles are critical to keeping production lines running efficiently and safely, especially during high-volume schedules and changeovers.

This is a hands-on opportunity to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment offering competitive pay, full benefits, and long-term growth potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled and emergency mold changes per production requirements

  • Set up and verify die-related systems including water, hydraulics, pneumatics, and hot runners

  • Load, unload, and safely transport dies and mold equipment

  • Inspect, repair, and replace die inserts or components as needed

  • Maintain die storage organization and supply inventory

  • Complete and submit all setup documentation accurately

  • Follow all OSHA and internal safety standards, policies, and procedures

  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams during line setups or troubleshooting

Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of experience in die setting, mold changeovers, or similar manufacturing setup role

  • Strong understanding of injection molding machinery and related equipment

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, work on your feet, and perform repetitive physical tasks

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Basic mechanical aptitude and safety-first mindset

  • Able to work scheduled 2nd or 3rd shift hours as needed
