Job description

Position Overview:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the
warehouse in Morehead City, NC, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution
of goods. This role will involve managing warehouse inventory accuracy and quality,
optimizing workflow processes, coordinating shipments, managing personnel, and
maintaining a safe working environment. The Warehouse Supervisor will work
closely with the port operations team and other departments based in Huntersville, NC
to align warehouse activities with company goals and objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

o Oversee the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, including inventory
management, receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping
o Ensure the timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing
shipments
o Manage inventory accuracy by conducting regular audits, cycle counts,
and reconciling discrepancies
o Work with port operations team to maintain and optimize warehouse
layout for efficient storage and flow of goods
o Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse personnel to ensure high
performance and compliance with safety standards and company policies
o Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for
continuous improvement
o Enforce all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment and
compliance with OSHA standards, company safety policies, and other
certification requirements
o Oversee local inventory quality control and ensure that goods are properly
tagged and labeled in accordance with company and industry standards
o Collaborate with other departments, such as Sales and Logistics, to
ensure timely order fulfillment and address any operational issues

Qualifications:

o High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s
degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is
preferred.
o Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1
year in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.
o Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and
inventory control processes
o TWIC card, or ability to obtain TWIC card, required
o Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
o Proven ability to be a self-starter in a fast-paced and high-volume
environment
o Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and organizational skills
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software
o Ability to operate a forklift is NOT required

Working Conditions:

o This role may require working in physically demanding conditions,
including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
o Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet operational
needs.
o The position may involve working in environments with exposure to dust,
noise, and varying temperatures.

Physical Requirements:

o Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
o Ability to stand and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods
o Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying
temperatures
