Job description

Full-Time CDL Driver - MRT Lawn & Garden Center (Port Charlotte, FL)

MRT Lawn & Garden Center is seeking a full-time CDL Driver to join our growing team at our Port Charlotte location (2775 El Jobean Rd). This role is ideal for someone experienced, dependable, and comfortable working with both equipment and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform daily pre-trip inspections
  • Safely operate dump trucks and trailers

Load and unload materials (sod, mulch, pavers, trees) using:

  • Moffett (truck-mounted forklift)
  • Forklift
  • Skid steer / bobcat
  • Deliver materials to job sites and communicate delivery updates with customers
  • Haul aggregates as needed

Assist with:

  • Tree delivery and planting
  • Sod and mulch installation on job sites
  • Maintain cleanliness of trucks, trailers, and equipment
Requirements
  • Valid CDL license
  • Experience operating forklifts and skid steers (required)
  • Comfortable using a moffett/bulk loader (preferred)
  • Ability to perform physical labor as needed
  • Strong customer service skills and positive attitude
  • Must pass a drug test
  • Availability Monday-Friday

Tanker endorsement is a plus.

Schedule
  • Monday - Friday
  • Approximately 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
