Job description

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Technical Security (TechSec) team within Anduril's Corporate Security Program is dedicated to protecting our people, physical assets, and proprietary innovations. We design, procure, and deploy robust technical security infrastructure and systems across our global footprint. Our mission is to create a secure built environment that enables Anduril's transformative work in defense technology. We focus on anticipating and addressing technical security challenges, ensuring Anduril's continued growth and innovation in a complex global landscape.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Security Communications Systems Architect, is the technical authority for Anduril's national radio system and the constellation of voice, intercom, emergency call, and mass notification systems that constitute the security communications environment. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical Security Systems Architecture, this role is a senior individual contributor position responsible for the architecture, deployment, and ongoing operation of Land Mobile Radio (LMR), broadband Push-to-Talk (PTT), SIP-based intercom and code blue systems, public safety in-building radio coverage, and enterprise mass notification. The successful candidate is fluent on both sides of the radio-to-IP boundary: comfortable engineering a radio fleet and an FCC Part 90 license application as well as SIP trunking, an SBC dial plan, IP networking, and a Genetec Sipelia integration.
Your expertise will be critical in designing, building, procuring, maintaining, and continually enhancing our technical security systems and programs to protect company assets and personnel.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Own the architecture of Anduril's national radio system, including the tiered design of broadband Push-to-Talk over LTE/5G, including fallback architectures.
  • Develop fleet plans, talkgroup architectures, encryption profiles (AES-256 over P25, MCPTT key management over LTE), over-the-air programming (OTAP) and over-the-air rekeying (OTAR) workflows, and Key Management Facility (KMF) procedures.
  • Own the Anduril radio Approved Products List (APL); ensure all hardware and software meet Trade Agreements Act (TAA) and NDAA Section 889 requirements. Hytera, Huawei, and ZTE radio products are categorically excluded under Section 889 (b)(1) and the FCC Covered List.
  • Design intercom systems for facility entrances, dock doors, controlled access points, and accessible entries, using SIP-native platforms such as Aiphone IX, 2N, Commend, or Zenitel/Stentofon, integrated with Security Center.
  • Architect and deploy emergency call (blue light) systems using platforms such as Code Blue.
  • Architect and deploy enterprise mass notification, with delivery across radios, IP phones, IP speakers, mobile applications, desktop pop-ups, and digital signage. Develop notification policy and routing logic.
  • Engineer IP paging, public address, and overhead speaker systems using SIP-native or SIP-bridged endpoints.
  • Engineer the network underlay required by voice and SIP services, including QoS marking and queueing for RTP, multicast routing for IP paging, VLAN segmentation, PoE budgeting, and switch port profiles.
  • Coordinate with IT and InfoSec on SIP signaling security (TLS), media encryption (SRTP), session border control, perimeter design, and lawful logging of communications events into the enterprise SIEM.
  • Design and operate the dispatch console architecture for the GSOC, integrating LMR, LTE PTT, SIP intercom, and mass notification under a unified operator experience using Genetec Mission Control SOPs.
  • Maintain interface documentation and network diagrams for every site, including donor antenna locations, BDA placement, head-end distribution, and SBC connectivity.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands-on SIP architecture and operations: SIP, SDP, RTP, SRTP, TLS for SIP signaling, codec selection, dial plan design, and Session Border Controller configuration.
  • Direct experience integrating SIP intercom platforms with a video management or access control system, ideally Genetec Sipelia integrated with Security Center, or equivalent integrations such as Aiphone IX or Zenitel/Stentofon.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership and construction teams.
  • Adept at working in a fast-paced environment and making sound decisions in challenging situations.
  • Must be a U.S. Person and able to gain a security clearance due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Motorola Solutions APX or WAVE PTX administrator certification, or L3Harris Public Safety equivalent.
  • Genetec Security Center Certifications including Sipelia (GSC-OM, GSC-MC, or higher).
  • Singlewire InformaCast Fusion or Alertus administrator certification.
  • Certified Wireless Network Expert (CWNE), Cisco CCNP Collaboration / CCIE Collaboration, or equivalent SIP/voice certification.
  • Strong project management skills and extensive experience with large-scale technical security system implementations and upgrades.
  • Experience in vendor management, including contract negotiation and performance oversight for security integrators and suppliers.
  • Existing active Secret or Top Secret Clearance.
