Job description

Our client, ranked by the Washington Business Journal as one of the area’s top private companies, is seeking a full-time Assistant Corporate Controller at its headquarters in Montgomery County.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing quarterly real estate investment consolidations for the Company's commercial and hotel real estate holdings 
  • Preparing internal financial statements and annual and mid-year budgets;
  • Reviewing daily bank activity, weekly accounts payable transactions and monthly bank/investment reconciliations.
  • Manage a team of two accounting staff and supervise the day to day accounting functions of the Corporate administrative division

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 7 years relevant experience
  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • Superior problem-solving and analytical skills, with great attention to detail
  • Prior experience managing a small accounting department or team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and Accounting software (Oracle/JD Edwards preferred but not required)
