Job description

STORE MANAGER

SOHO POP-UP | SEPTEMBER 30- OCTOBER 8 | AUSTRALIAN BRAND'S FIRST NYC POP-UP

This is one of the fastest-rising menswear labels out of Australia right now, building serious cultural momentum and quickly becoming a name in trending men's fashion. This October, the brand is bringing that energy to SoHo for a week long takeover, and we're looking for a Store Manager who can lead a team through a high-visibility, high-intensity run and make it unforgettable.

This is a short, fast-moving pop-up in one of the most competitive retail neighborhoods in the world, every day matters. We need someone who leads with energy, moves fast, and knows how to build real hype on the floor.

The Role

As Store Manager, you'll lead the on-the-ground team for the full week SoHo run, setting the tone, driving performance, and making sure the brand's first real NYC moment lands exactly the way it should. You'll own the floor, the team, and the numbers.

This role is built for someone who thrives under pressure, loves the intensity of a short, high-stakes run, and knows how to turn a pop-up into a cultural moment people talk about after it's gone.

Profile of the Ideal Candidate

  • High-energy and culturally plugged in, genuinely knows menswear, streetwear, and what's actually trending right now

  • A natural hype-builder who can get a team fired up and keep that energy consistent across a demanding one week run

  • Confident, decisive, and thrives under pressure, this is a short window with no room for a slow start

  • Strong personal style and presence that reflects the brand's identity

  • Comfortable leading a team fast, with minimal ramp-up time before doors open

  • Detail-oriented enough to keep tight inventory and operations dialed in during a short, limited-stock run

Key Requirements

  • Prior experience in a retail leadership role (Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or Keyholder) is required*

  • Menswear or streetwear retail background strongly preferred

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, limited-run pop-up environment, this isn't a slow-build retail rollout

  • Available for the full duration: September 30 - October 8

  • Based in or able to work on-site in SoHo, NYC for the full duration

What You'll Own

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead a fast-onboarded team, getting everyone brand-ready and floor-ready in a compressed timeline

  • Set the energy and tone for the entire run, this team needs to feel the hype, not just sell product

  • Build and manage the staff schedule to keep the floor fully covered and energized across all operating hours

Customer Experience

  • Create a high-energy, culturally credible experience that matches how this brand is perceived in the market

  • Turn walk-ins into genuine fans — this is about building brand loyalty in a short window, not just closing sales

  • Personally handle key moments and VIP/press visits with the polish the brand's rising profile demands

Sales Performance

  • Own aggressive sales performance across a compressed 2-week window, every day counts toward the pop-up's success

  • Read the floor in real time and adjust team focus and stock presentation to keep momentum building daily

  • Report daily performance and customer insight back to the brand/RFTP point of contact

Visual Merchandising & Brand Presentation

  • Maintain sharp, trend-forward visual merchandising that reflects the brand's fast-rising identity

  • Keep the space feeling fresh and energized throughout the full run, not just on opening day

Operations & Store Management

Own daily opening/closing procedures and tight inventory tracking across a limited-stock pop-up run

  • Manage stock deliveries and replenishment closely given the compressed timeline and limited inventory

  • Lead full close-out procedures at the end of the 2-week run, including final inventory reconciliation and space breakdown

  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for any operational issues during the run

Success Metrics

  • Strong sales performance across the full run

  • Real, visible brand buzz and engagement generated during the activation

  • A high-energy, well-run floor from open to close, every day of the run

  • Clean, accurate close-out at the end of the week

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Competitive hourly compensation

  • Employee discount

  • A ground-floor seat at one of the most talked-about menswear brands coming out of Australia right now, as it makes its move into NYC
