Job Summary:
As a Seasonal Pool Server, you will uphold Regent's luxury standards by assisting with tasks such as serving beverages, taking orders, and explaining menu items. You'll help stock supplies, assist the bartender with ice and restocking, and work with the kitchen to ensure accurate food orders. Additionally, you'll greet and seat guests, maintain cleanliness and organization at the pool, and adjust chaise loungers and umbrellas as needed. Your role requires excellent hospitality skills, teamwork, clear communication, and a focus on quality service.
A little bit about your day:
Reporting to the Outlets Manager, every day is different, but you'll mostly:
  • Promote Regent's service philosophy and style through our people attributes.
  • Deliver exceptional hospitality to all guests, ensuring attentive, polished, and courteous service at all times.
  • Ability to create an outstanding dining experience.
  • Experience with name usage and remembering guest's preferences.
  • Speak on the menu, specific food items, the wine list, or any other inquiries the guest may have.
  • Offer friendly and prompt service to our guests.
  • Set up and break down of pool area.
  • Moving umbrellas and chairs for guests, where necessary.
  • Replenishment of guest waters and changing of soiled towels when needed.
  • Assistance with preparation and distribution of hourly pool amenities.
  • Deliver Forbe's five-star service.

What we need from you:
  • Must have at least 1 year experience in food and beverage operations - luxury hotel or fine dining experience a plus.
  • Understand and perform job duties to the expectations of Regent Santa Monica and the restaurant Service, Food, Beverage and Wine manuals.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
  • Able to stand for long periods and move about the property.
  • Carrying or lifting items weighing more than 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously
  • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • This position necessitates participation in a pooled tip system, where you contribute to tipping out the support staff and other essential team members.

What you can expect from us:
The hourly pay rate for this role is $17.00 to $18.90/hr, plus tips. This rate is only applicable for jobs to be performed at Regent Santa Monica Beach.
