The Rooftop Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests while delivering an exceptional hospitality experience in a fast-paced rooftop and poolside environment. This role requires strong cocktail knowledge, speed, accuracy, and the ability to manage high-volume service while maintaining quality and presentation standards. The Rooftop Bartender supports both bar and floor service by preparing drinks for guests and service staff, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and ensuring all Department of Health (DOH) and safety protocols are followed. 

RESONSIBILITIES: 

  • Always treat guests with courtesy and respect in a variety of situations 

  • Honesty & Integrity 

  • Reportimmediatelyany accident and or incident which mayaccruewhile at work 

  • Communicate with servers, bussers, and management regarding service flow, 86’d items, and guest needs. 

  • Acknowledge all bar guestswith eye contact immediately, however busy. 

  • Maintain strong knowledge of the cocktail menu, spirits, and featured beverages to provide recommendations and upsell when appropriate. 

  • Provide timely service for both bar guests and service tickets from servers. 

  • Input orders into hand held device,POSsystem, correctly. 

  • Have a strong knowledge of all house cocktails as well as standard recipes. 

  • Anticipateguestsneeds, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests.  

  • Interact in courteous and professional manner with guests, supervisors, and co-workers. 

  • Be proactive in resolving guest complaints. 

  • Act with integrity and honesty, and alert security, or management toany and allissues that may arise at a guest. 

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of the bar area at all times, following DOH sanitation guidelines. 

  • Ensure proper stocking and preparation of bar ingredients, garnishes, plastic cups, bar tools before and during service. 

  • Monitor and restock liquor cages and bar inventory as needed for smooth service 

  • Maintain menu knowledge throughout employment, continuously review menu items, and keep up to date with any changes. 

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to the restaurant’s standards and recipes. 

  • Follow responsible alcohol service standards and check identification to verify legal drinking age. 

  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including bar setup, breakdown, and cleaning. 

  • Support rooftop operations by maintaining a professional and energetic presence in a fast-paced Nightlife and poolside environment 

  • Follow all health department procedures, including best practice notes that can be found behindbar. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • At least 2 years of high-volume fast-paced Bartending and Poolside/nightlife experience. 

  • Knowledge of classic and specialty cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine. 

  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. 

  • Strong multitasking, organization, and communication skills. 

  • Ability to work outdoors in warm weather conditions. 

  • Team-oriented with a strong focus on guest service and hospitality. 

Compensation- $11.35. hour + tips
