About the Position 

At Goodwin Living, Health Care and Assisted Living Servers are responsible for the overall operation and sanitation of the tray area including preparing, assembling, and delivering trays.

We are looking for someone who can work a flexible schedule of morning and evening shifts 4-5 days a week. You should have weekend and holiday availability.

The pay rate is $20.00/hr

Job Duties:

  • Portions food items according to menu and stores according to proper storage guidelines.
  • Sets up household area with supplies for meal service and monitors supplies to ensure adequate availability.
  • Verifies temperature of food items prior to food service and periodically checks temperature to ensure compliance of standards; promptly notifies supervisor on duty of all discrepancies; monitors food quality.
  • Heats plates to be served and places properly in serving areas.
  • Delivers and collects trays and plates from residents according to schedule.
  • Cleans and sanitizes work area, supplies, and equipment in accordance with departmental sanitary guidelines.
  • Washes all dishes used during the meal service.
  • Accurately assembles trays and plates food according to menu specifications.
  • Labels and dates unused food products clearly and according to department guidelines.
  • Prepares snacks and other requests as directed.

Job Qualifications 

  • Previous food service experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer services skills required.
  • Must have ability to effectively communicate in English, including reading and writing.
  • Must demonstrate respect when interacting with others, including co-workers, customers and visitors.
  • Must be able to work as a team player.
