Job description

Rate: $16/hr
Seasonal: This position is from May until September.
About the Role
Responsible for maintaining a clean and neatly organized pool deck and surrounding area and the registration of all persons entering the pool area. To keep pool facilities in a state of 100% cleanliness, according to Druid Hills Golf Club standards. Maintains cleanliness of pool bathrooms, front and back of house areas, related club amenities. Assists with Clubhouse Laundry/Towels.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Ensure the men's and women's Pool Locker Room remains neat and free from clutter such as paper towels, tissue paper, etc.
  • Restock the men's and women's Pool Locker Room with soap and towels.
  • Launder pool towels and ensure they are folded and stocked accordingly.
  • Pick up trash on the pool deck and empty trash cans regularly.
  • Sweep the pool deck and men's and women's Pool Locker Rooms daily.
  • Regularly dry mop the pool locker rooms floor to maintain a dry, slip free environment.
  • Observes that all persons entering the pool area are registered.
  • Conduct a walk-through of pool deck to ensure all patron are registered.
  • Maintains a daily log of members and guest.
  • Consistently stationed at check-in table to greet members and their guests.
  • Prepares charge ticket for all guests.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements
  • Should be personable, responsive, member-oriented and willing to work in a team environment.
  • This position further requires weekends and holidays as well as nights to be available.
  • The ability to organize and prioritize.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • The ability to read, write and execute basic math skills. Thoroughness and neatness in record keeping.
  • Previous private club experience preferred.
  • The ability to communicate effectively in the primary language of the workplace.
  • Displays knowledge of industrial cleaning equipment and techniques.
  • Qualified applicants must have enthusiasm, be a team player, and focus on attention to details when serving our members and their guests.

Physical Requirements
  • Continuous walking, standing
  • Frequent lifting, pulling, bending, stooping, repetitive actions
  • Occasional sitting
  • Must be able to lift at least ten pounds frequently, and safely lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Exposure to loud noise level and chemicals. Must work safely around chemicals.
  • Must be able to work in a very hot and outside working environment.
