Job Description

The Spa Pool Host serves guests of the pool at Halehouse Spa and is a vital member of the service team, providing a warm welcome to all guests as they enter the pool deck, checking them in through the reservation system, escorting the guests to their chaise, cabana or table, answering the phone, making reservations, maintaining accurate status updates throughout service and sincere goodbye. The Halehouse Pool Host will be responsible for the complete experience of the guest from the time they enter the pool area to the time that they leave. The ideal candidate will be exuding warmth, outgoing, professional, and has a strong ability to multitask.

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Within the Auberge family, our people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their teammates. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Create a welcoming and hospitable environment for guests upon arrival to Halehouse Pool.
  • Set up and close the pool deck each shift according to Auberge standards.
  • Assist guests with arrival to spa treatments on time
  • Ensure dirty linens are taken to laundry nightly and clean linen is always stocked to appropriate par level at Halehouse Pool.
  • Ensure all pool amenities are stocked and presented to guests while at the Halehouse Pool.
  • Properly answer guest inquiries with regards to the pool's hours of operation and basic operational information of the property.
  • Refresh the pool deck with fresh, clean towels during the day adhering to Auberge standards.  
  • Remove dirty towels and other items from the pool area and dispose of them in the right locations. 
  • Must be able to multi-task with genuine hospitality by creating special moments for the guest while at the Halehouse Pool. 
  • Act as a liaison between the guest, management, service staff and kitchen and communicate accordingly . 
  • Demonstrate professionalism when speaking to guests and colleagues.
  • Quote accurate wait times to guests during service.
  • Present the food and beverage menu. Staff to helpfully explain/discuss the details of the menu items and beverages including basic ingredients and preparation method. 
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. 
  • Provide guests with "surprise and delights" hourly during their pool experience. 
  • Report any and all maintenance and safety issues to management regarding pool/umbrellas/furniture/etc
  • Seasonal Job - will End on or around November 2026

The starting range for this position is $21.40. This is the pay rate for this position that Stanly Ranch reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

  • Current Food Handler's Card Required (within 30 Days of Hire)
  • RBS - Alcohol Training Certification Required (within 30 Days of Hire)
