About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Pool Designer to join a growing design-build company specializing in custom residential outdoor living projects. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with homeowners, design high-end pools and outdoor environments, and contribute to the growth and development of a collaborative design team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with homeowners for onsite design consultations.

  • Design custom pools, spas, and outdoor living environments.

  • Create conceptual designs, 3D renderings, and construction drawings.

  • Develop permit-ready plans and detailed construction documents.

  • Prepare project budgets and cost estimates in collaboration with the estimating team.

  • Coordinate with project managers and construction teams throughout project execution.

  • Guide clients through material selections and design revisions.

  • Help establish and improve design standards, workflows, and processes.

  • Mentor and support junior designers as the team grows.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience designing custom residential pools.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing completed residential pool projects.

  • Advanced proficiency with Pool Studio.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship skills.

  • Ability to build trust with residential clients.

  • Solid understanding of structural, hydraulic, and construction fundamentals.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently.

  • Experience preparing permit-ready and construction drawings is preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience in landscape architecture or outdoor living design.

  • Familiarity with Lumion, SketchUp, or similar rendering software.

  • Knowledge of residential permitting and construction processes.

  • Experience in design-build environments or client-facing sales.
