Calling all aquatic ambassadors! We have a mission to teach kids how to swim and be safer in and around the water and we need experienced aquatic professionals to help make that happen. At Goldfish Swim School Yonkers, youll play a key role in providing children and families with essential life skills while delivering a GOLDEN experience. Whether you're leading swim instruction or overseeing safety on the pool deck, your experience in aquatic environments will help young swimmers thrive.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provides swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum
  • Enforces safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe aquatic environment
  • Evaluates students progress and completes documentation accurately and promptly
  • Engages with parents/guardians after each lesson to discuss swimmer development
  • Identifies and addresses student challenges using problem-solving and creativity
  • Assists with pool setup and cleanup, including storing equipment properly
  • Participates in required workshops and in-service training
Job Requirements and Skills:
  • Aquatics experience required (e.g., lifeguarding, swim team, swim instruction, water safety, competitive swimming, or similar)
  • Weekend availability required
  • Experience as a certified lifeguard, swim instructor/coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider is a plus strong ability to work with children in an energetic, supportive, and safety-focused environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must pass background checks (provided as part of training)
  • High School Diploma/GED required; Some college preferred
  • Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications encouraged (training provided and rewarded with pay increases)
  • Must complete certification courses within 3 months of employment
