Traveling & Mowing Crew Lead

Pay: $22- $27 an hour- Full-time

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years in lake/pond maintenance, landscaping, commercial mowing, turf management, or erosion control.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis.
  • Ability to walk on steep slopes for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend and stoop on a continual basis.
  • Ability to work on slopes, near water, and in various weather conditions.
  • Results-driven with strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overnight travel within and to nearby States is required 75-100% of the time.
  • Mow, string trim, prune stormwater ponds.
  • Load and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks.
  • Schedule and monitor daily workloads.
  • Plan, coordinate, and collect equipment and materials each day.
  • Attend and participate in crew and department general and safety meetings.
  • Prepare timesheets and other daily paperwork as required by the company.
  • Safe driving of company owned vehicles trucks (with or without trailers) and transporting crew members.
  • Maintain on-site relations and communications with clients, contractors and/or subcontractors.

Safe operation and maintenance of the following equipment:

  • Mowers - Stand on, walk behind, Ventrac.
  • Edgers, string trimmers and chain saws
  • Backpack blowers and sprayers
  • Hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes and pruning tools.
