Job description

Position: Think Tank Server
Location: Innovation Hotel, Naples, FL
Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager/Assistant Food & Beverage Manager/Food & Beverage Supervisor
Status: Non-Exempt

Servers will be responsible for the dining experience to include greeting the guests, serving the guest in a gracious and professional manner that represents the highest of standards to ensure exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance to Innovation service standards.

**Please note, Innovation Hotel is a drug-free workplace. Pre-employment screening, to include a background test and drug screen, is required for all candidates offered a position.

What you have

  • High school diploma, equivalent, or higher

  • Previous experience in hospitality, preferably as a server

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to use technology, e.g., tablets, iPads, computers, and POS system

  • Beverage knowledge, including wine and liquor

  • Ability to work on a team with members of the Front of House staff

  • Proven experience in describing dishes and beverages to guests

  • Ability to handle station, and work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner

  • A sense of ownership in everything that you do

What you'll do

  • Serve guest in an efficient and courteous manner following the proper steps of service

  • Set up tables with items needed for service (i.e. flatware, drinkware, condiments, linens, etc.

  • Maintain knowledge of current menu items, including ingredients, preparation, accompaniments, and sauces

  • Bus tables quickly and quietly, ensuring table is thoroughly cleaned

  • Upsell menu items to guests, as well as pairing wine with the meal

  • Ensure guest tables are properly set up during meal period, making sure appropriate flatware and drinkware is placed

  • Participate in daily cleaning of dining room and service stations

  • Attend monthly department meetings and daily standups

  • Follow cash handling procedures, and be able to explain shortages and overages

  • Other necessary duties as reasonably assigned
