Job Summary:
The Executive Initiatives Intern supports senior leadership by assisting with high-priority initiatives, strategic projects, research, and executive coordination efforts. This role provides exposure to executive decision-making, organizational strategy, and cross-functional collaboration while developing analytical, communication, and project management skills. The intern will work closely with executive leadership, program managers, and functional teams to help drive initiatives from concept through execution.
Responsibilities:
Strategic & Executive Support
• Assist executive leadership with planning, tracking, and execution of strategic initiatives
• Prepare briefing materials, executive summaries, presentations, and talking points
• Support follow-up actions from executive meetings and leadership reviews
Research & Analysis
• Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, policy considerations, or internal performance metrics
• Analyze data and develop insights to support executive decision-making
• Compile reports and dashboards for leadership consumption
Project Coordination
• Support cross-functional initiatives by tracking milestones, deliverables, and deadlines
• Assist with project documentation, status updates, and risk tracking
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather inputs and updates
Communications & Documentation
• Draft internal communications, executive correspondence, and leadership updates
• Organize and maintain executive project files, documentation, and records
• Assist with development of SOPs, playbooks, or process improvement documentation
Administrative & Ad Hoc Support
• Provide administrative support related to executive initiatives as needed
• Support special projects and time-sensitive leadership requests
Requirements
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (Business, Public Policy, Political Science, Communications, Management, or related field)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); Google Workspace acceptable
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with project coordination, research, or executive support (academic or professional)
• Familiarity with data analysis, dashboards, or reporting tools
• Interest in executive leadership, strategy, operations, or organizational development
• Prior internship, leadership role, or involvement in student organizations
