  • You will secure crime scenes for evidence collection.
  • You will perform contingency actions in response to incidents, emergencies, and hostile actions (e.g., active shooter, hazardous materials spill, bomb threat).
  • You will distribute and balance workload and rotations among police officers.
  • You will administer anti-terrorism, force protection, physical security, and law enforcement services for the protection of life and property.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Incumbent must pass a sanctioned physical agility test and medical evaluation and pass periodic re-tests as required.
  • You must meet the qualifications and be certified to carry a firearm. You will need to maintain firearm proficiency.
  • Required to wear a uniform and maintain appearance and grooming standards per Navy, Region, or Local Command Standard Operating Procedures/Orders/Policies.
  • Completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program is a condition of continued employment. Employee will be required to sign a continuing service agreement prior to travel to the academy. 5 CFR410.309

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Performing law enforcement (LE), physical security (PS), antiterrorism (AT), and force protection (FP) functions; 2) Deploying specialized or advanced techniques, equipment, knowledge, or training; 3) Conducting preliminary and/or ongoing investigations of incidents; and 4) Documenting law enforcement and security events and the issuance of citations.
