The Edgewater Police Department is seeking enthusiastic and team-oriented individuals to immediately fill the position of

POST-Certified Police Officer. The City of Edgewater is a city of approximately 5,000 residents nestled between the cities of Denver, Wheat Ridge, and Lakewood. Edgewater offers a unique small-town atmosphere within minutes of the downtown Denver area.

Edgewater Police Department offers:

Requirements


Required Skills/Abilities: 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Thorough understanding of police and investigative procedures, processes, and techniques.

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or related field preferred.

Graduation from police academy (Colorado POST certified) or currently in academy.
