Position Overview

The PointClickCare Specialist is responsible for managing and supporting the use of PointClickCare within healthcare organizations. This role ensures proper clinical documentation, system optimization, and staff support across multiple disciplines in long-term care, skilled nursing, and post-acute settings.


Key Responsibilities

Clinical Documentation Expertise

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of documentation workflows in PointClickCare for multiple healthcare disciplines.

  • Support and assist with charting requirements for:

    • SLP (Speech-Language Pathology)

    • Nursing staff

    • Nurse Practitioners (NP)

    • Physicians / Doctors

    • OT (Occupational Therapy)

    • PT (Physical Therapy)

    • CNA (Certified Nursing Assistants)

  • Ensure all clinical documentation is accurate, compliant, and aligned with care plans and regulatory standards.

  • Assist staff with troubleshooting charting issues and improving documentation workflows.

System Administration & Support

  • Configure modules, permissions, and workflows within PointClickCare.

  • Provide technical and workflow support for clinical teams.

Training & Education

  • Train interdisciplinary staff on proper use of PointClickCare for documentation and care coordination.

  • Develop training materials and best-practice documentation guides.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Generate reports and analyze clinical documentation data.

  • Support audits, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory compliance.


Required Skills
  • Advanced knowledge of PointClickCare.

  • Understanding of interdisciplinary healthcare documentation including SLP, Nursing, NP, Physician, OT, PT, and CNA workflows.

  • Knowledge of long-term care and post-acute clinical documentation standards.

  • Strong communication and training abilities.
