About the role:

The Studio Operations Manager at The Lighthouse is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our state-of-the-art production studios, including podcast studios, theater, photography studios and more. You will ensure that the studios are fully functional, well-maintained, and accessible to our members, providing an exceptional experience for all users. The Studio Operations Manager will also play a key role in coordinating with the General Manager and other teams to ensure that the studio services align with the overall mission and vision of The Lighthouse.

With a strong focus on leadership, content creation, and collaboration, this role ensures that every touchpoint—from a first-time visitor to long-time staff—is efficient, effective, and in line with The Lighthouse's mission and values.

Here's what you'll do day-to-day:
  • Oversee daily operations of all production studios, ensuring they are functional, safe, well-maintained, and available to members and teams.
  • Manage studio bookings, production schedules, off-hours needs, and tech team coverage to maximize usage and minimize conflicts.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small team of studio technicians and assistants while creating SOPs and playbooks to ensure consistent operations.
  • Manage studio equipment, inventory, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and technical troubleshooting in partnership with IT and Tech teams.
  • Provide technical support to creators and execute AV productions for Lighthouse events, while staying current on emerging production technologies and trends.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager, campus leaders, members, vendors, and production partners to improve the studio experience and support broader campus initiatives.
  • Manage the studio operations budget, including equipment purchases and maintenance, while tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for cost efficiencies.
  • Conduct regular studio and campus walkthroughs, addressing operational issues and serving as the on-the-floor operational lead as needed.
Here's what we're looking for:
  • 5+ years of experience in studio management, production, or a related field, with a strong understanding of the technical aspects of production.
  • Technical proficiency in studio equipment, including cameras, lighting, sound, and editing software.
  • Proven track record of developing high-performing teams through coaching, training, and intentional leadership.
  • Deep understanding of systems, workflows, and organizational efficiency in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing multi-functional teams, schedules, and cross-department initiatives.
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Comfort with CRM systems and operational software—experience with PeopleVine a plus.
  • Passion for creative environments and an appreciation for the needs of creators, entrepreneurs, and innovators.

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000 and serves as a general guideline for the potential compensation. The final salary offer will be determined based on a comprehensive evaluation of factors such as the candidate's experience, expertise, alignment with the position's requirements, location, and, ultimately, budget approvals.
