Job description

The News Producer produces daily newscast items, decides the order in which stories will be told, writes teases and other content, times news programs, edits video, and posts video to the website.
  • Produces Lifestyle Show for broadcast across all platforms
  • Writes and orders Lifestyle Show stories
  • Approves scripts
  • Balances news and feature content to create compelling broadcasts
  • Edits video
  • Writes stories for the website and other eMedia platforms
  • Interacts with viewers and users on social media sites
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Minimum two years' experience in news operations (Depending on market size)
  • Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work any shift
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Audition, etc...)
  • Knowledge of social media and filming for social media
  • Be able to produce a live in-studio show, pre-record, or on-location show
  • Be familiar with booking guests and finding the engaging lifestyle related content for the show.
  • Coordinate with the sales department on what is best for their client, creatively, and work with the client's schedules
  • 2+ years of producing lifestyle shows
  • Proficient in ENPS
  • Podcast producing a bonus
  • Collect and organize guest graphic assets, pictures, and videos. Must know how to manage digital assets for the show.
  • Be familiar with AP style script writing
  • Edit video for the show (mostly VO)
  • Excellent people skills and ability to work with guests when needed
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Calendar, and Drive.
  • Work closely with the team on creative ideas to help elevate the show.
  • Other Duties as assigned
  • Coordinate Client and Community Content
