Position Overview As we expand our footprint to Florida, POD Health is seeking an experienced, autonomousHuman Resources Generalistto manage all aspects of our HR function in Tampa. This critical role acts as the sole on-site HR representative for our Florida operations, providing comprehensive HR support while reporting directly to theVP of HR based in New York.
Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range:$65,000 $80,000 per year (Based on experience)

Key Responsibilities

  • Regional HR Management:Oversee all daily HR functions for the Tampa location, ensuring alignment with corporate policies set by New York leadership.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:Manage full-cycle recruiting, interviewing, vetting, and onboarding for local healthcare, and administrative staff to support company growth.
  • Employee Relations:Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, conflict resolution, and performance management issues on-site.
  • Compliance & Policy:Ensure strict adherence to Florida state employment laws and federal regulations, maintaining accurate personnel files and documentation.
  • Benefits & Payroll Support:Coordinate with the New York corporate HR team to facilitate local benefits administration, timekeeping tracking, and payroll processing.
  • Cultural Alignment:Champion POD Health's mission and values locally, fostering a proactive, inclusive, and compliant work environment.


Qualifications

  • Experience:Minimum of 35 years of progressive HR Generalist experience. Healthcare, telehealth, or high-growth startup environment experience is highly preferred.
  • Education:Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Certifications:PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is a strong plus.
  • Compliance Knowledge:Deep knowledge of federal and Florida employment laws.
  • Independence:Proven ability to work autonomously as a lone on-site representative while maintaining strong communication channels with remote leadership.
