The Senior Solutions Architect must be able to meet the key criteria below:
Location: 100% remote. This is a United States based position, and candidates must reside in the continental United States to be eligible for employment.
Years' Experience: 10+ years professional experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree in IT related field required
Security Clearance: IBR is a federal contractor. Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance issued by the Department of Homeland Security. This agency handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
NOTE: United States Citizenship is required as part of the eligibility criteria to be able to obtain this type of security clearance.

Work Schedules: IBR promotes work-life balance by offering flexible scheduling options. Standard business hours are aligned to the Eastern Time Zone.

Position Overview
As a Senior Solutions Architect at IBR, you will be responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive technical solutions that will play a key role in the design and implementation of secure, next-generation solutions that support critical missions. As a member of our Engineering Support for Identity Services (ESIS) program, you will collaborate with technical leaders, business stakeholders, and a multi-disciplinary team to ensure solutions are scalable, secure and forward-thinking, while remaining aligned with organizational and program goals. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to technical strategy within a dynamic, mission-driven, and customer focused environment.
Responsibilities
  • Design comprehensive technical solutions that address complex business challenges and identify architectural improvements across multiple technology domains.
  • Evaluate and optimize solution architectures to improve performance, security, and cost-effectiveness of technology implementations.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and development teams to architect integrated solutions while providing technical leadership and implementation guidance.
  • Support business development and account growth by contributing solution architecture expertise to pipeline development and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions focused on solution portfolio expansion and enterprise growth objectives.
  • Provide solution architecture guidance and technical advisory services to ensure secure, compliant, and well-integrated technology implementations.
  • Engage directly with senior government executives to present solution architectures, provide technical consultation, and serve as a trusted advisor on complex technology initiatives.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in development, DevSecOps, AI/ML engineering, and technical architecture, including 3+ years in designing and deploying enterprise cloud applications with AI/ML on AWS.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or IT related field.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Public Trust security clearance.
  • AWS Solutions Architect Certification - Associate or Professional (Preferred or ability to obtain).
  • Must have solution architecture experience with expertise in translating complex business requirements into scalable technical designs and guide cross-functional teams through implementation.
  • Hands-on experience architecting unified analytics platforms using Databricks for large-scale data processing, machine learning workflows, and collaborative data science initiatives.
  • Experience leading application modernization initiatives, including decomposition of monolithic systems, legacy platform decommissioning, and migration to service-oriented or microservices architectures.
  • Experience designing and implementing real-time data streaming architectures using Apache Kafka or other types of message brokers for high-throughput, fault-tolerant event processing and data pipeline integration.
  • Experience architecting search and analytics solutions using the Elastic stack and/or Amazon OpenSearch.
  • Background in software development and are proficient in solution architecture patterns including microservices, event-driven architectures, and can provide guidance on architecture pattern selection and best practices.

The expected salary range for this position is $165,000.00 - $200,000.00 USD annually. This is a good-faith estimate and not a salary guarantee as compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, associated role responsibilities, applicable contractual requirements, and geographic location.
