Job description

As a Business Systems Analyst Consultant within PNC's Lending Technology, Credit Card Servicing organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Birmingham, AL, Strongsville, OH or Dallas, TX.
Our team provides exceptional customer service to our corporate credit card business partners, to help them manage and automate their day-to-day Credit Card Operational duties as well as new Credit Card Product development for Consumer and Small Business Credit Cards. We also provide Credit Card data to our online and mobile banking applications in order to provide our customers with an exceptional experience.
The core team does backend development for our credit card systems. We provide information about credit cards once they are approved to other systems as needed regarding usage, payments, etc. We create batch jobs and APIs that process the credit card data from our vendor Fiserv and make it available to any downstream system that requires credit card data. Downstream systems generally pick up batch data from our Enterprise Data Warehouse, or real-time data from Kafka. We also have APIs that read from and send data directly to our vendor Fiserv.
We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst Lead to serve as a strategic liaison between Business and Technology teams. This role is responsible for leading business analysis efforts, defining and documenting complex business and data requirements, driving Agile best practices, and supporting the successful delivery of technology solutions within a fast-paced financial services environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, deep financial services experience, advanced data analysis skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. This individual will play a key leadership role in requirement management, Agile delivery, release planning, and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
Lead business analysis activities for large-scale, cross-functional initiatives and technology programs.
Elicit, analyze, document, and validate complex business, functional, data, and technical requirements.
Perform impact analysis, gap analysis, process analysis, and data analysis to support strategic business decisions.
Create and maintain business requirements documents, user stories, process flows, use cases, and functional specifications.
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand objectives and translate them into actionable technology solutions.
Analyze existing systems, processes, and workflows and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Stakeholder Management & Leadership
Serve as the primary liaison between business units and IT teams, ensuring alignment of priorities and successful project delivery.
Facilitate discussions between technical and non-technical stakeholders, helping bridge communication gaps and drive consensus.
Influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations and business insights.
Lead by example in fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
Mentor and guide junior Business Analysts while promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
Agile Delivery & SAFe Practices
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including PI Planning, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
Continuously refine Agile practices and methodologies to improve stakeholder engagement and requirement elicitation processes.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Architects, and Development teams to prioritize and manage business requirements.
Support organizations operating within the SAFe Agile framework and contribute to Agile maturity initiatives.
Data & Technical Analysis
Perform data analysis using SQL and other analytical tools to support business and operational decisions.
Analyze data within Oracle and other database platforms to identify trends, issues, and opportunities.
Define and document requirements for APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
Partner with development teams to ensure technical solutions meet business objectives.
Release & Project Management Support
Participate in release management planning, coordination, and execution activities.
Ensure requirements and deliverables are properly aligned with release schedules and business priorities.
Monitor application performance, user experience, and stakeholder feedback to identify areas for continuous improvement.
Support implementation activities, testing efforts, and production deployments as required.
Process Improvement & Consulting
Provide senior-level consulting services to business and technology teams on process improvement initiatives.
Evaluate systems, tools, and technology solutions to ensure they are cost-effective and aligned with business goals.
Recommend improvements to business processes, operating models, and technology solutions that drive measurable business value.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst Lead, Senior Business Analyst, or Business Systems Analyst.
Strong experience within the financial services industry.
Proven experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting complex business and technical requirements.
Intermediate to advanced SQL skills with experience performing data analysis in Oracle and other database platforms.
Experience in understanding APIs, REST services and API testing tools like Postman etc.
Experience working with Agile methodologies and Agile management tools such as Jira.
Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery practices.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
