These systems streamline administrative tasks and improve efficiency by centralizing all property management functions. Modern PMS solutions often integrate with other technologies like point-of-sale systems, online booking engines, and channel managers to provide a seamless experience for both staff and guests.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a product manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Product Manager, you need a solid understanding of product lifecycle management, market analysis, and strategic planning, typically supported by a bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. Familiarity with tools like Jira, Trello, Aha!, and analytics platforms, as well as certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), are commonly required. Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities help Product Managers align stakeholders and drive product success. These skills ensure that products are developed efficiently, meet market needs, and achieve business goals in a competitive environment.

What are common challenges faced by property managers when overseeing multiple properties, and how are these typically addressed?

Many PMs rely on property management software and clear communication protocols to streamline workflows and prioritize tasks. Regular team meetings and proactive maintenance scheduling also help minimize disruptions and improve tenant satisfaction.

Job description

Director of Product
Location: Onsite - Miami, FL
Department: Product, Design & Delivery
Reports to: Head of Product
About the Role
We're hiring a Director of Product to lead product strategy and execution across our global platform. You'll own multiple product areas, manage product managers, and be a strategic partner to the Head of Product and executive team. This is a hands-on leadership role; you'll set the direction and be responsible for contributing to IC-level work as needed to ensure successful delivery.
What Makes This Role Unique
  • Six programs, two geographies, one platform. All sharing core infrastructure with different formularies, fulfillment partners, eligibility rules, economics and regulatory frameworks. Every product decision has a cross-program blast radius.
  • Clinical stakes are high. Product decisions affect patient safety, not just conversion metrics.
  • Complex partner ecosystem. We partner with a network of third party vendors to manage labs, clinical services and pharmacy fulfillment, each with their own integration constraints and opacity challenges.
  • Small team, big scope. We operate in a startup environment and you'll need to be resourceful to achieve success.
  • Opportunity to build a team. We are expanding our product team with this role being a foundational hire.

What You'll Do
Set Product Strategy & Drive Alignment
  • Own the product vision and roadmap for the global platform, translating company strategy into concrete product outcomes
  • Make hard prioritization calls when programs compete for shared resources, and own the sequencing of work that touches shared infrastructure and multiple teams
  • Identify strategic bets that create leverage across the platform
  • Ensure clinical safety, regulatory compliance, and healthcare privacy are design constraints from the start
  • Proactively surface risks, dependencies, and misalignments before they become blockers

Lead and Develop Product Managers
  • Manage, coach, and raise the bar for PMs on your team
  • Set clear expectations for discovery rigor, requirements quality, and stakeholder communication
  • Create an environment where PMs can do their best work without excessive process

Be a Strategic Partner to Leadership
  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to the Head of Product and executive team
  • Bring a point of view on where the product should go
  • Translate complex product and technical tradeoffs into language that executives and commercial partners can act on

What Success Looks Like
  • Cross-program impact of product decisions is understood and managed
  • PMs are producing sharper work through better discovery, clearer requirements, stronger prioritization rationale
  • Leadership hears about risks and strategic opportunities from you before they surface elsewhere
  • Clinical and commercial stakeholders trust the product team to make sound tradeoffs without escalation
  • The team you're building has a clear identity, shared standards, and momentum

What You Bring
Required
  • 10+ years in product management, with 3+ years in a leadership role managing PMs
  • Meaningful experience in healthcare, digital health, pharmacy, PBM, or diagnostics
  • Track record of shipping products in regulated environments where patient or member outcomes matter
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in small, fast-moving organizations
  • Strong strategic thinking paired with willingness to get into the details
  • Excellent communication; you can run a board-level product review and a sprint planning session in the same week
  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience; MBA or advanced degree preferred
