Job Title: AWS Project Manager (Federal Government Contracting)Job Summary

The AWS Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering cloud initiatives supporting federal government programs, with a focus on AWS cloud adoption, migration, and operational excellence. This role manages the full project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with federal standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST), while coordinating cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings experience managing complex cloud programs in regulated environments, with strong expertise in AWS technologies, risk management, and federal contracting processes.


Core Competencies1. Federal Cloud Program Management
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of AWS cloud projects supporting federal agencies, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements and mission objectives.
  • Manage scope, schedule, budget, and resources in accordance with federal acquisition and reporting standards.
2. AWS Cloud Migration & Transformation
  • Oversee migration of on-premise systems to AWS environments using structured methodologies and AWS migration frameworks.
  • Coordinate architecture, engineering, and security teams to ensure successful cloud adoption and modernization.
3. Compliance, Risk & Governance

  • Manage AWS cloud projects from initiation through deployment and O&M support phases.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including cloud engineers, security specialists, and DevOps resources.
  • Provide regular status reports, dashboards, and briefings to federal stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper documentation including Statements of Work (SOW), project charters, and technical deliverables.
  • Support contract compliance, invoicing alignment, and deliverable tracking.
  • Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned across programs.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of project management experience, with 3+ years supporting federal government contracts.
