Job description

Job Purpose:

The Project Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence across all aspects of project execution, ensuring the successful delivery of commercial-grade technology integration projects. This role serves as the backbone of project operations, providing leadership and support to foremen, service technicians, and operations staff. The Project Manager is tasked with optimizing resources, ensuring project profitability, fostering cross-departmental collaboration, and maintaining alignment with the company’s core values of transparency, hard work, ambition, reliability, collaboration, and optimism.  Through effective leadership, strategic planning, and a commitment to continuous improvement, the Project Manager will ensure the seamless execution of projects, enhance team development through training and certification, and uphold the company’s reputation for quality and reliability. This role is critical to achieving organizational goals and delivering exceptional service to customers.


Key Responsibilities:


Project Execution & Profitability

  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring projects meet profitability targets, timelines, and quality expectations.
  • Monitor project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and mitigate financial risks.
  • Lead project planning and execution, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
  • Maintain detailed cost tracking, change orders, and progress reports to ensure financial accountability and project transparency.


Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor and develop foremen and service technicians, equipping them with leadership and technical skills to drive project success.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and excellence, encouraging continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for field teams, offering guidance and support to resolve operational challenges.


Operational Support

  • Collaborate with the operations team to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance overall project execution.
  • Coordinate resource allocation, ensuring optimal staffing levels and project readiness.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, RFPs, submittals, and closeout packages.
  • Support the Market Lead during customer meetings, providing technical expertise and operational insights as needed.


Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce OSHA safety requirements and company policies, promoting a safe and productive work environment.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Lead regular safety meetings and job site inspections to mitigate risks and uphold safety standards.


Technical & Administrative Management

  • Utilize Bluebeam and project management tools to maintain accurate drawings, plans, and documentation.
  • Oversee material procurement, vendor coordination, and logistics to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to optimize workflows and address operational bottlenecks.
  • Track and analyze project performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains.


Professional Development & Certifications

  • Stay up to date on industry trends, technologies, and certifications relevant to low voltage and technology integration.
  • Pursue and maintain relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), BICSI, or OSHA to enhance expertise and credibility.


Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in low voltage, technology integration, or construction industries.
