Job Description

Accountable for driving rigor, value, and sustainability in product development business processes to shape and influence an organizational culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and accountability. This role is critical in ensuring the successful development and delivery of high-quality, timely product launches that achieve strategic business objectives.

Leveraging a highly specialized and advanced skill set, this role will lead initiatives focused on the Global PMO Business Process. This includes designing, implementing, and monitoring process compliance, as well as driving continuous process improvement for the Olympus Medical Divisions. The role encompasses the development, implementation through change management, and ongoing support of business processes for product development, technology development, innovation, and product sustaining projects.

As a senior leader, this individual will influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization, including PMO teams, cross-functional partners, project core team members and the PMO Portfolio Team. The Senior Process Manager will act as a strategic partner, ensuring alignment between business processes and organizational goals.

The primary focus of this role is to lead the creation and maintenance of tools, templates, documentation, training and communications that enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of cross-functional teams in executing business requirements within product development.

Job Duties
  • Lead cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration to develop, maintain, and enhance global product development business processes.
  • Act as a key advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements and compliance.
  • Drive alignment across multiple levels of the organization to ensure business processes meet strategic objectives.
  • Leads execution of significant, high-impact continuous improvement projects with measurable outcomes for business and functional objectives.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement, collect stakeholder feedback, and oversee the planning, execution, and implementation of solutions.
  • Monitor compliance with global product development business processes and escalated critical issues to senior leaders.
  • Ensure process documentation is maintained and evolves to meet current and future business needs.
  • Develop and deliver robust communication strategies for global business process policies and tools.
  • Present complex information and project updates to senior leadership and diverse audiences, tailoring messaging to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Other duties as directed to support the Global PMO team.
Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
  • Equivalent job-related experience and knowledge in new product development will be considered.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulated medical device field.
  • Product development experience is required.
  • Change Management experience is required.
  • Applies advanced technical skills to support process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Demonstrates strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Teams) and collaboration platforms like Mural/Miro.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills, inspiring and guiding cross-functional teams to execute in a collaborative environment.
  • Oversees multiple, complex projects and ensures alignment with strategic objectives.
