We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Back of House (BOH) Team Member to join our fast-paced kitchen team. As a BOH Team Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our kitchen, preparing high-quality food items, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Key Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation:
o Prepare menu items according to established recipes and standards.
o Ensure all food items are cooked and presented according to quality and portion control standards.
2. Cooking:
o Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, such as grills, fryers, and ovens.
o Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked properly.
o Assemble orders accurately and promptly to meet customer demands.
3. Food Safety and Sanitation:
o Follow all food safety guidelines and procedures, including proper handwashing, sanitation, and storage practices.
o Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
o Perform regular temperature checks on refrigerators, freezers, and cooking equipment.
4. Inventory and Stock Management:
o Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or issues to the Kitchen Manager.
o Rotate stock and ensure FIFO and proper labeling to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
5. Team Collaboration:
o Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations.
o Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to coordinate orders and special requests.
o Assist in training new kitchen team members as needed.
6. Customer Service:
o Occasionally interact with customers to answer questions or handle special requests.
