Job Title: Master Plumber

Work Location: NSA Bethesda

Labor Category: Full-Time | Non-Exempt | CBA (Union-Represented)

Travel Requirement: Up to 25%ย ย ย 

Pay Rate: $49.55 per hour

Scope of Work: The primary purpose of this position is to provide operations and maintenance support through the performance of plumbing duties.

Responsibilities:

Work involves a variety of the following duties:

  • Responsible to the immediate supervisor for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment.
  • Determines methods to accomplish plumbing-related assignments.
  • Performs all plumbing trades functions necessary to install, maintain, and repair the fixtures, equipment, and systems described in the contract.
  • Installs and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes, studies building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required, and the sequence of installations.
  • Inspects structure to identify obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from installation of pipe, and locates and marks position of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors.
  • Consistently produces quality products and service.
  • Completes all training within the required timeline.
  • Ensure work areas are cleaned and restored after maintenance tasks are completed.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years related experience.
  • Shall hold a Journeymen Plumbing License as required by the Government contract and state.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
  • Backflow Certification preferred.
  • Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.
  • Must possess the ability to obtain andmaintaina Tier 3 (Secret Clearance) or Tier5background check(Top Secret / SCI Clearance),ifrequiredfor the position.
  • Must be able to maintain the ability to access the government worksite.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

  • Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for long periods of time.
  • Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE.
  • Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
