Position Overview:
The Facility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for supporting all area PLS store locations. The candidate will initiate, perform and oversee preventative maintenance and repair procedures. He/she will also oversee small improvement projects and services, as needed. This position will report directly to Director of Operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, perform and oversee maintenance projects for all area PLS store locations.
  • Perform repairs such as basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting assignments.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform necessary repairs.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed and in a timely manner.
  • Develop scopes of work for small improvements/services and seek out qualified contractors to bid the work.
  • Obtain estimates for supplies repair parts, and order parts as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years of related experience in facility maintenance.
  • Previous experience with basic electrical and carpentry repairs, simple plumbing, and painting.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License, a good driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Available to work an 8-hour shift, 40 hours a week.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Travel within PLS business market area of Cleveland OH, Columbus OH & Cincinnati OH with occasional travel to Indianapolis, IN and Louisville, KY

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. without frequent assistance.
  • Must be able to climb up and down ladders and stand or stoop for long periods of time.
