Job description

Plexos Group LLC is seeking a detail-oriented IT and Administrative Support Tech to support daily technical operations and administrative functions for our Santa Fe office. This position provides hands-on IT support, maintains IT asset records, and assists with routine administrative and project support tasks for the disaster recovery team.

This is a non-exempt, hourly position. The role follows established procedures, works under general supervision, and focuses on executing defined tasks to support IT operations and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

IT Support & Technical Services

  • Receive and respond to employee IT support requests using a ticketing system following established service procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine Level 1 and Level 2 technical issues based on documented processes and guidance.
  • Provide basic technical assistance to employees with hardware, software, and standard applications.
  • Gather information and follow troubleshooting steps to identify and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
  • Install, configure, image, and deploy laptops and standard IT equipment according to company procedures.
  • Perform basic hardware repairs or coordinate replacements per established guidelines.
  • Assist with setup of cabling, workstations, and standard network equipment under supervision.
  • Maintain accurate service tickets, logs, and technical documentation.
  • Follow company security and access protocols when configuring systems.
  • Provide customer service support to employees and escalate issues when appropriate.

Asset Management

  • Receive, log, label, and store incoming IT equipment following inventory procedures.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory records in tracking systems.
  • Track equipment assignments, returns, and disposals based on established processes.
  • Package and ship equipment between locations, maintaining shipping documentation.
  • Assist with routine inventory audits and reconciliation activities.
  • Generate regular inventory reports using predefined formats.

Administrative & Project Support

  • Assist with preparation of routine reports using templates and provided data.
  • Support tracking of project expenses by collecting and organizing documentation.
  • Assist with invoice processing, document filing, and RFI responses using established formats.
  • Compile materials and supporting documents for financial and program reporting.
  • Maintain organized files, spreadsheets, and project documentation.
  • Draft routine correspondence such as emails, memos, and meeting notes.
  • Coordinate meetings, including scheduling, materials preparation, and note-taking.
  • Perform general administrative tasks including filing, scanning, and document preparation.
  • Maintain office and project supply inventory and reorder supplies as needed.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to project managers and team members.
  • Perform other assigned duties that support IT operations and project administration.

Qualifications

  • Associateโ€™s or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1โ€“3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support.
  • Experience with inventory tracking or asset management systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with ticketing/help desk systems.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • This position is on-site in Santa Fe, NM (5 days per week).
  • Non-exempt role; eligible for overtime in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Must accurately record all hours worked.
  • Occasional after-hours work may be required based on workload demands.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment or boxes up to 45 lbs.
