Our Fine Wine & Good Spirits (FW&GS) Store in Jim Thorpe is looking for a Full-Time Sales Team Lead (Liquor Store Clerk 2) - apply today!
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Sales Team Lead Itinerant, you will support store success through teamwork and leadership. This role is responsible for serving as lead worker and guiding a team of clerks on each shift, traveling to other stores in the district as needed, and working in collaboration with the FW&GS management team. Each day brings new challenges that let you grow your skills while supporting a positive shopping experience. Your work will include the following duties:
  • Shift Leadership: Guide clerks during assigned shifts and keep store operations running smoothly
  • Customer Assistance: Provide top-notch customer service, help shoppers find products, and promptly resolve product-related concerns
  • Sales Operations: Process sales transactions; complete shift reports for accounting and inventory; handle cash management
  • Store Upkeep: Stock shelves, unload shipments, and build displays to maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming environment; safely handle store products and equipment
  • Staff Training: Provide on-the-job training to clerks so they understand and follow store procedures and policies
  • Legal Requirements: Follow all legal guidelines to ensure alcohol is only sold to customers who are legally permitted to buy it

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours will vary, totaling 75 hours biweekly.
  • This is an itinerant position, requiring travel as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Six months of retail sales work.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:
  • You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
