This role is responsible for delivering structured training programs that support new hire onboarding, apprenticeship instruction, and ongoing development across field operations.Training will span low voltage systems, controls, and electrical installation practices, preparing employees to meet JSET's field standards.The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on technical experience and a passion for developing others through classroom and hands-on environments.Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Delivery & InstructionLead new hire training programs for field employees, including foundational installation skills and safety practicesDeliver apprenticeship classes and structured Skills Academy training sessionsFacilitate ongoing training and upskilling for field technicians across multiple disciplinesConduct hands-on labs covering conduit installation, wiring, terminations, control systems, and jobsite best practicesReinforce field standards, installation quality, and safety expectationsCurriculum Development & Program SupportAssist in developing and refining training curriculum, lesson plans, and lab exercisesSupport the development of training pathways across multiple field roles, including installation and controlsEnsure training content aligns with current field practices and company standardsMaintain training materials, tools, and lab environmentsContribute to continuous improvement of training programs based on performance and feedbackTechnical Expertise & MentorshipServe as a subject matter resource for low voltage systems, controls, and field installation practicesProvide coaching and mentorship to trainees and developing techniciansAssist in evaluating trainee progress and readiness for field deploymentCollaboration & AlignmentPartner with the Education Manager and leadership to align training with company goalsCollaborate with field teams to ensure training reflects real-world project requirementsSupport workforce development initiatives and Skills Academy programsQualificationsRequired5+ years of hands-on experience in low voltage systems, electrical installation, controls, or building automationStrong working knowledge of:Control wiring, structured cabling, and conduit installationElectrical safety practices and jobsite standardsExperience training, mentoring, or leading others (formal or informal)Strong communication and presentation skillsAbility to translate technical concepts into clear, engaging trainingComfortable leading both classroom and hands-on training environmentsPreferredExperience supporting or teaching apprenticeship or workforce training programsBackground in data centers, BMS/controls, or PLC systemsCertifications related to electrical systems, controls, or technical trainingFamiliarity with LMS platforms or structured training programsExperience working across multiple field disciplines (installation, controls, or electrical)Why Join JSETPlay a direct role in developing JSET's field workforceHelp shape and expand training programs within a growing Skills AcademyWork in a collaborative, hands-on learning environmentBe part of a company that prioritizes quality, development, and continuous improvementAdditional NotesApplicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
