The Webster Machining and Coating Manufacturing (M&CM) organization is seeking a Controls Engineer to support multiple manufacturing operations. Webster M&CM produces high-performance consumable parts for high-end production printing presses on several unique, highly automated production lines. The controls engineer is a key player to ensure Xerox's ability to deliver high-quality parts to our customers. This role is ideal for someone who loves to collaborate to solve problems in multiple areas and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Job responsibilities include:
  • Providing engineering support, potentially including off-shift
  • Creating and maintaining controls documentation, equipment maintenance procedures, and automation programming.
  • Interaction with industrial staff, employees, quality personnel and process engineers.
  • Systems integration with vendors providing equipment.
  • Troubleshooting of electromechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and processes.
  • Upgrades to the current equipment to enable run-cost targets and enable future products, including controls-related elements of productivity improvements.
  • Experience with Class1/Div. 1&2 hazardous location requirements. This includes the need for ESD shoes and a respirator.

The well qualified candidate will have:
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems incorporated in multiple materials handling and process manufacturing lines.
  • PLC, MMI, HMI and CNC Programming experience including but not limited to:
