Job description

Beacon Academy is seeking an enthusiastic, student-centered Varsity Boys Soccer Head Coach to lead and develop its high school boys soccer program for the Fall 2026 season. This is an exciting opportunity for a coach who is passionate about player development, team culture, and mentoring student-athletes both on and off the field. The ideal candidate will foster a positive, inclusive environment built on accountability, sportsmanship, and personal growth while helping student-athletes maximize their potential as competitors, teammates, and leaders.

Responsibilities

Plan and lead engaging, developmentally appropriate practices and competitions

Teach fundamental and advanced soccer skills, tactics, and game strategy

Create a positive team culture rooted in respect, accountability, inclusion, and sportsmanship

Support the academic, social, and emotional development of student-athletes

Communicate effectively with athletes, families, and athletic department staff

Collaborate with the Athletic Director regarding scheduling, program needs, and athlete support

Attend required coaches' meetings and school-related athletic events

Ensure compliance with school policies and applicable athletic association regulations

Help recruit and retain student participation within the soccer program

Serve as a positive role model and representative of Beacon Academy

Qualifications

Preferred candidates will possess:

Previous soccer coaching and/or playing experience at the high school, club, collegiate, or equivalent level

Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals, player development, and tactical strategy

Experience working with and mentoring adolescents

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

A commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive, and growth-oriented environment

Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, faculty, and administrators

Successful completion of all required background checks and coaching certifications
