Grand Island Motor Company is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Business Development Representative (Service BDC Representative) to join our growing service team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping customers, building relationships, and driving business growth through outstanding communication and customer service.

As a Service BDC Representative, you will play a critical role in scheduling service appointments, following up with customers, supporting retention efforts, and helping deliver an exceptional service experience. You will communicate with customers through phone calls, emails, text messages, and dealership software systems while working closely with Service Advisors and Service Technicians.

The ideal candidate is organized, professional, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Respond to inbound service inquiries via phone, email, text message, and online channels
  • Schedule service appointments for maintenance, repairs, inspections, and recall campaigns
  • Contact customers regarding maintenance reminders, declined services, and manufacturer recalls
  • Confirm upcoming service appointments and manage appointment schedules
  • Conduct post-service follow-up calls to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Re-engage inactive customers and encourage service retention
  • Provide accurate information regarding service offerings, promotions, and maintenance recommendations
  • Maintain detailed customer records within the dealership CRM system
  • Document all customer interactions accurately and professionally
  • Monitor appointment activity and help achieve department performance goals
  • Work closely with Service Advisors and Technicians to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Assist in implementing customer retention and service marketing initiatives
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate
    Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Business Development Center (BDC), call center, customer service, appointment setting, sales, or administrative role preferred
  • Automotive dealership experience is a plus but not required
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional phone etiquette and customer service abilities
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up abilities
  • Positive attitude and team-player mentality
  • Problem-solving skills and customer-first mindset
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
