Overview

Position Type: Full Time Education Level: 4 Year Degree Category: Education

Description

Head coach responsibilities include but are not limited to: overseeing all phases of a competitive Division III baseball program; assistant coaches, budget management, recruiting, game scheduling and travel, player development and team building, practice oversight, game coaching, fundraising and alumni relations. Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a minimum of a bachelor's degree (required); a master's degree is preferred. Also required are previous coaching experience (collegiate preferred); a clear understanding of NCAA III philosophy and the student-athlete experience; ability to recruit in Indiana and contiguous states; ability to work as a part of a team environment; a demonstrated commitment to the Anderson University mission and Christian lifestyle. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate with a diverse student body, faculty and staff, effective problem solving skills and personal initiative. Must meet university lifestyle expectations.

Candidates should have belief in and commitment to Jesus Christ and the Christian faith as interpreted through the historic witness of the Bible and the contemporary ministry of the Holy Spirit. They should possess a vitality of Christian experience that is maturing in insight and application.
