Summary of Position
MapleStory is one of the world's longest-running and most beloved MMORPGs, with a passionate global fanbase spanning North America, Europe, and beyond. We're looking for an experienced marketing leader to join the Community & Brand Engagement team and manage a talented group of creative, social, and brand marketing professionals dedicated to Global MapleStory.
As part of the Community & Brand Engagement team, this role sits at the intersection of player connection and brand storytelling. You and your team are responsible for how the world - and our players - experience MapleStory beyond the game itself. That means crafting campaigns that excite and welcome new players, creating content that keeps our existing community engaged and celebrated, and ensuring the MapleStory brand shows up with consistency, heart, and creativity across every touchpoint.
You'll partner closely with the game production team, community managers, developer team in Korea and global publishing stakeholders to drive integrated marketing strategies that support live service goals - from major content launches to seasonal events - while fostering a team culture where player empathy, boldness, and craft are at the core of everything we make.
We are currently working in the office 2-3x a week in a hybrid work model.
Job Responsibilities
  • Own go-to-market strategy for major content updates, seasonal events, IP collaborations, and expansion releases for Global MapleStory and Classic World -developing positioning, key messages, and integrated campaign assets. Track and analyze campaign performance, player engagement metrics, and community sentiment to continuously optimize marketing strategy
  • Develop and maintain a content strategy spanning owned, earned, and social channels. Oversee the production of high-impact assets, including promotional videos, update trailers, IP collaboration assets, etc.
  • Serve as the guardian of the Global MapleStory brand - ensuring all creative output captures the game's signature charm, nostalgia, and energy while bringing fresh and culturally relevant ideas that attract and engage today's players.
  • Partner with the Nexon Korea development team and global publishing stakeholders to localize and adapt product narratives that resonate with Western and global audiences
  • Lead social content strategy working with social managers for managing briefs, approvals, and publishing across our own social channels (YouTube, social, website, and email) including external channels
  • Collaborate with CRM, Paid Media, PR, Data, and other internal teams to align on brand standards and establish best practices that ensure a cohesive MapleStory brand experience at every player touchpoint
  • Directly manage a team of creative, social media, and product marketing professionals - setting clear goals, providing coaching, and supporting career development in a games environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Work Experience
  • 5+ years' experience in Product Marketing and/or Brand Management roles
  • Hands-on background in copywriting, video production, or social media management in a gaming context
  • Experience bringing games to market, including building compelling marketing plans, creating/improving a brand, working internal groups and/or external agencies
  • Capable of devising exceptional presentations, cutting-edge marketing strategies, and iconic creative backed up by insightful market and player analysis
  • Experience managing direct reports and/or enjoys developing junior members both within and outside your immediate team

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Digital marketing and/or retail landscape experience

Knowledge/Skills
  • Microsoft Office & Google Suite experience (Required)
  • JIRA, Confluence, and/or other project management tools (Preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of online game market / games as a service model, and understanding of virtual goods
  • Skilled in brand/product Management. Comfortable both developing and refining these tenets for the brand/product as well as advocating the framework to cross functional teams to execute against.
  • Results-driven personality that is self-motivated, well organized, and consistently delivers high quality work
  • Excellent eye for innovative creative and ways to stand out in a crowded digital landscape
  • Ability to execute a wide variety of concurrent projects on schedule in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with key internal stakeholders and possessing excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical/strategic capabilities to apply in projects and workflow

Compensation Description for Pay Transparency (annually)
The base salary range for this position in El Segundo, CA is $120,000 - $150,000 annually.
Our salary ranges are determined by market data based on position and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum salaries for that position. An individual's pay is determined by factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's qualifications, skills, experiences, relevant education or training, and location.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, however the salary range listed in this job posting reflects the base salary only.
