Job description

Job description:
  • Responsible for supporting plating operations by ensuring all equipment to include facility and outside services are suitable to perform expected tasks and / or are in proper operating condition.
  • Maintain all Safety regulations and a Safe work environment at all times.
  • Ensure that all mechanical devices used at APS are in suitable condition
  • Ensure that all electrical devices, including power supplies, are in suitable condition.
  • Ensure APS facility and all support services are in good condition.
  • Plan and perform preventative maintenance as needed to ensure equipment suitability.
  • Correctly ascertain from approved vendors/suppliers, parts required to repair equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic.
  • Maintaining & repairing all polishing equipment, including handheld tools and automated machines, to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Make welding and fabrication repairs.
  • Repair timers, temperature probes, filter and rectifier malfunctions.
  • Repair all mechanical components of the plating line, including but not limited to hoist cables, brake assemblies, and times.
  • Repair & replace filters and pump seals and possess a general knowledge of plumbing.
  • Working knowledge of boiler systems.
  • Must possess a basic understanding of and hands-on experience in industrial electronic principles & applications (480V, 220V, & 120V).

Any additional duties as requested by the Plant Manager
Work Experience Requirements:
  • General mechanical / electrical understanding complex automated processes and equipment with applications.
  • Physically be able to bend, stoop, climb, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to communicate well; work independently and complete necessary forms.

Starting pay based on work skills and experience.
