Job Summary

This job involves collaborative design and development of software solutions that meet business objectives. It includes system requirement analysis, application customization, and assisting with software updates. It also involves mentoring junior engineers, ensuring quality with Quality Assurance, and providing technical leadership on routine projects. The job is also responsible for conducting training for application users.

Job Description

  • 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering related fields
  • Experience with at least one programming language such as Go, Python
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications.
  • Experience working with public cloud platforms such as AWS, OCI
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins,Argo CD.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, and GitOps practices
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred

  • Experience operating production Kubernetes environments
  • Experience with EKS, OKE, or other managed Kubernetes services
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry
  • Experience building internal developer platforms or self-service tooling.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and integrate innovative software solutions that align with business needs
  • Conducting analysis of system requirements and the customization of applications to ensure optimal functionality
  • Assisting with the software update process for existing applications and roll-outs of software releases
  • Mentoring junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and shared knowledge within the team

Virginia Pay Range: $120,212.52 - $180,318.78Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
