Job description

Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Salesforce Platform Manager to provide end to end ownership of our Salesforce platform strategy, architecture, delivery, and ongoing evolution for the Global Supply Chain and GPO organization. This role serves as the single, global point of accountability for Salesforce, integrating enterprise architecture leadership, product ownership, Agile delivery execution, and integration strategy. The platform enables the end to end GPO business process across the customer lifecycle—from sales to implementation, account management, and customer support—ensuring consistent processes, data, and experience globally.

The role is highly visible and collaborative, partnering closely with executive and business stakeholders and IT leadership to ensure Salesforce operates as a scalable, strategic enterprise platform. This role requires deep business partnership across the Global Supply Chain and GPO organization, and the candidate will be expected to immerse themselves in the end-to-end GPO value chain—grounding Salesforce design decisions in how the business operates across both the client and supplier sides of the relationship, and translate that understanding into opportunities for intelligent automation, predictive insights, and human-in-the-loop agent experiences.

As the organization evolves toward an AI-native and increasingly agentic operating model, this role will shape how Salesforce transitions from a system of record and workflow enablement to an intelligent platform capable of predictive insights, guided automation, and agent-driven process execution across the GPO value chain.

Location: Philadelphia, PA or Rockville, MD preferred.

Job Responsibilities

•    Define and own the global Salesforce vision, target state architecture, and roadmap
•    Define and execute the roadmap for embedding AI and agentic capabilities into the Salesforce platform (e.g., Agentforce and approved custom agent integrations), driving measurable reduction of manual work across the GPO lifecycle.
•    Act as the enterprise Product Manager for Salesforce, prioritizing initiatives across business units and regions
•    Lead the consolidation of multiple Salesforce implementations and Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) solutions into a single, scalable global instance
•    Define and manage Agile sprints, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, execution, and delivery tracking. Evolve delivery from project execution toward a product-centric and AI-enabled operating model, leveraging AI-assisted prioritization/triage, automation, and quality gates to increase delivery speed and platform reliability.
•    Provide hands on project and delivery leadership, coordinating internal teams and owning partner governance, including SI relationship and performance management (SOW oversight, delivery quality, and commercial management such as budget and invoicing), Salesforce account team engagement, ISV/AppExchange solution evaluation and selection, and vendor risk/compliance management
•    Oversee and govern Salesforce integrations with:
o    SaaS platforms such as Oracle Fusion Order Management, Microsoft Business Central, HubSpot & Sirion CLM
o    Data platforms such as Snowflake
o    Other SaaS and custom-built applications
•    Establish guardrails and governance for AI/agentic capabilities, including human-in-the-loop design, escalation paths, auditing/traceability, and compliance-by-design.
•    Champion modern engineering practices, including AI-enhanced analysis and delivery workflows, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce and integrations
•    Balance global standardization with regional and functional business needs
•    Drive global readiness for Salesforce programs, including multi-language and multi-currency design, rollout, and support across regions
•    Drive organizational change management and user adoption strategies across regions, ensuring training, communication, and support are aligned with rollout milestones
•    Communicate platform strategy, roadmap progress, risks, and decisions to senior leadership
•    Partner with Enterprise Architecture, Security, and IT teams to ensure scalability, compliance, and long term sustainability

Qualifications

•    8+ years of experience in Salesforce, CRM, or enterprise platform roles
•    Proven experience as a Salesforce Architect, Platform Manager, or Product Manager
•    Strong background in Agile delivery, sprint management, and project leadership
•    Hands on experience with Salesforce integrations, including SaaS and custom applications
•    Experience consolidating or governing multiple Salesforce implementations
•    Experience with multi-org consolidation strategies, including data migration, org merge, and/or Salesforce-to-Salesforce integration
•    Strong ability to bridge business strategy and technical execution

Preferred
•    Salesforce Administrator and/or Architect certifications
•    Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Data Cloud is preferred
•    Experience integrating Salesforce with Microsoft Business Central, Snowflake, or similar platforms
•    Experience establishing CI/CD pipelines and leveraging AI-enhanced development practices (e.g., release automation, quality gates, and intelligent backlog/defect triage) in an Agile environment
•    Familiarity with Salesforce AI capabilities and patterns (e.g., Agentforce, copilots/assistants, prompt/flow-based automation) and human-in-the-loop design principles.
•    Experience operating in global or complex enterprise environments
•    Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
