Role Summary
The MuleSoft Developer / Lead is responsible for hands-on design, development, deployment, and operational support of enterprise integrations using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. This role ensures API-led connectivity, adherence to PG&E MuleSoft standards, CI/CD practices, and platform governance, while collaborating across business groups and Enterprise Integration (EI).
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development
Design and build APIs and integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Mule 4).
Develop REST and SOAP APIs using RAML / OAS.
Implement DataWeave transformations for XML/JSON payloads.
Apply API-led connectivity patterns (Experience, Process, System APIs).
Build, Test & Deploy
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Git, Maven, Jenkins).
Write and maintain MUnit test cases (functional, negative, performance).
Deploy applications across environments using CloudHub and/or Runtime Fabric (RTF).
Support performance testing, capacity sizing, and tuning.
Platform & Governance
Apply API Manager policies (security, throttling, logging).
Ensure compliance with MuleSoft CAP, ARB reviews, and enterprise standards.
Publish and maintain API assets in Anypoint Exchange.
Participate in Architecture Review Board (ARB) and CAB processes.
Operations & Support
Troubleshoot production issues and support incident resolution.
Monitor APIs using platform monitoring and logging tools.
Perform root-cause analysis and support continuous improvement.
Collaborate with platform admins on upgrades, patches, and runtime changes.
Leadership (Lead role)
Lead and mentor MuleSoft developers across delivery teams.
Enforce co ding standards, design patterns, and best practices.
Coordinate delivery across multiple integrations and stakeholders.
Act as technical point of contact for business groups and EI.
Required Skills & Experience
Hands-on MuleSoft development experience (Mule 4).
Strong knowledge of:
Anypoint Platform
API design (RAML / OAS)
DataWeave
CI/CD and DevOps practices
Experience with:
CloudHub and/or Runtime Fabric (RTF)
API Management, Access Management, and Monitoring
Performance testing and troubleshooting
Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns.
