Job description

Plastic Manufacturing Maintenance Technician
Automation Personnel Services is excited to partner with a top-tier Plastic Manufacturing and distribution facility in Pasadena, TX, to hire a skilled and dependable Plastic Manufacturing Maintenance Technician.
Pay Rate
$23.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule & Hours
Training time: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday (some weekends and overtime may be required)
Regular Shift: 10:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m. (overtime and weekends as needed)
Plastic Manufacturing Maintenance Technician Duties & Responsibilities
• Collaborate with production staff, Quality Assurance, and fellow maintenance technicians to maximize plant efficiency, productivity, quality, and safety.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial machinery and systems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
• Follow preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and prevent equipment failure.
• Perform daily maintenance and repairs on production machinery, including stackers, conveyors, elevators, steel drum lines, and telescopic conveyors, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
• Record, document, and report maintenance activities, data, and performance metrics.
Plastic Manufacturing Maintenance Technician Qualifications & Requirements
• 1–3 years of related maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Must be able to work in manufacturing conditions (heat, noise, confined areas).
• Ability to read and comprehend technical procedures in English.
• Basic PLC knowledge is a plus but not required.
• Basic troubleshooting knowledge of mechanical, electrical, & hydraulic.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
