Job description

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a skilled Set-Up/Process Technician to support production operations in a fast-paced plastic injection molding environment. This hands-on role is responsible for setting up and maintaining injection molding machines, robots, dryers, grinders, and related equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The ideal candidate will perform mold and tool changeovers, prepare raw materials, troubleshoot machines and part issues, respond to equipment alarms, complete preventive maintenance tasks, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Success in this position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, the ability to identify and resolve production issues, and effective communication with machine operators, quality personnel, and leadership to help achieve daily production goals.

What You'll Do

  • Installing the correct molds/inserts into the correct machines
  • Prepping and mixing raw materials for production
  • Cleaning dryers, grinders, machine hoppers. Cleaning machine off; put all tools away after changeover
  • Changing tools according to which model is needed.
  • Changing machine fan filters
  • Using the correct tools for the job
  • Answering machine alarms. Identifying and reporting issues and potential issues to the Plant Manager
  • Fixing part defects, machine faults
  • Adding oil and lubricating fluid to machines as needed
  • Able to communicate effectively and respectfully with machine operators and Quality
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely

What You'll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years' hands-on experience in plastic injection molding
  • Set-ups, changeovers, tooling, machine maintenance
  • Working knowledge in mechanical and technical injection mold machinery
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English verbal and written
  • Adhere to company safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift frequently throughout the shift

Employment Type & Compensation

  • Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire position
  • Compensation: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour, depending on shift
  • Application Period: This position will remain open until filled
