Job description

Our client company’s headquarters, R&D center, and manufacturing facilities are based in Paris, France, and have been there for 35 years. They conceive, develop, manufacture, and install (via subsidiaries or local partners) leak detection systems. Since it was established, the company has built its brand name on Quality, Efficiency, and Innovation. State of the art technology innovation help them to deliver leading-edge liquid leak detection solutions. In the early 1990’s, they were the first company who offered the digital range products, including monitoring panels and fully addressable sense cables. In 2011, the company led the industry to the new Millennium by introducing a unique digital panel on the market. This panel besides its traditional powerful capacity to detect and locate the leaks, opens various possibilities on network applications, such as sending emails, Modbus over IP and managing external devices through the network. Our client is setting the pace for product development.


The company has an immediate need for Extrusion Specialists for the new cable and wire plant they are opening in West Palm Beach.


Position Overview        

We are seeking a skilled Extrusion  Specialists to support production across three dedicated extrusion lines:

Ÿ One line for wires

Ÿ One line for cables

Ÿ One line for braided cables

Each production line includes extrusion heads, a welding station, and a cable pulling line. This role is critical to ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production of plastic-insulated cable products.


Key Responsibilities

Ÿ Operate and monitor extrusion lines for wire, cable, and braided cable production

Ÿ Set up and adjust extrusion parameters daily, including temperature, speed, and related process controls

Ÿ Set and optimize welding machine parameters to ensure consistent product quality

Ÿ Oversee cable pulling operations to maintain dimensional and mechanical specifications

Ÿ Work with one primary plastic compound (maximum of two types)

Ÿ Perform routine quality checks and coordinate testing (in partnership with subcontracted cable testing providers)

Ÿ Troubleshoot production issues and recommend process improvements

Ÿ Support implementation of new compounds, solutions, and process enhancements

Ÿ Maintain equipment cleanliness and ensure compliance with safety standards

Ÿ Assist with first production batches in coordination with international technical teams


Qualifications

Ÿ Experience in plastic extrusion manufacturing (required for extrusion specialist role)

Ÿ Knowledge of welding equipment and parameter adjustment

Ÿ Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

Ÿ Ability to adjust process parameters and optimize production performance

Ÿ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to recommend technical improvements
