Job description

Responsibilities include:
  • Operation and maintain a CNC plasma beam line or plasma cutting table. (300 AMP Hypertherm - Voortman).
  • Load and unload raw materials safely and efficiently with a forklift (pertains mostly to the plasma cutting table)
  • Perform regular maintenance on the CNC plasma beam line or plasma cutting table, including cleaning, lubrication, and calibration.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project activities (project lists, task list, deadlines)
  • Work in tandem with the foreman and project manager to set priorities and drive project success.
  • Select and install cutting consumables, adjust machine settings, and monitor the machining process to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet the required specifications

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate competence in the use of tape measures, and calipers.
  • Read and interpret fabrication and part drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance skills.
  • Ability to lift and move at least 50+ pounds and to be on your feet most of the day (8-10 hour shifts)
  • Friendly personality and willing to work as part of a team
  • Proficiency with learning modern software.
  • Effectively communicate in both verbal and written English.
