Job Overview – Interior Plant Technician

Do you love working with plants and enjoy helping spaces come to life?
We’re looking for an Interior Plant Technician to join our team! In this role, you’ll care for and maintain interior plants and floral displays in commercial spaces throughout the Orlando area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in plant care, and values excellent customer service.
 
About Us

We are a locally owned  Orlando Premier Interior Plantscape Company specializing in commercial plant design, installation, and maintenance. We also support short-term events and seasonal holiday decorating for businesses throughout the area. 
 
Duties:

  • Maintain interior tropical plants at client locations
  • Water, prune, clean, and inspect plants for pests or health concerns
  • Travel to assigned service locations throughout the Orlando area
  • Build strong relationships with clients through excellent service
  • Assist with special projects including installations, replacements, events, and holiday décor
  • Keep records of service completed and communicate updates with supervisors
  • Follow safety protocols while driving and servicing client accounts.
  • Work with co-workers on special projects like short-term events, new installs, plant replacements, and holiday decorating.
Requirements: 
 
  • Required to work with tropical foliage and have excellent customer service skills
  • Live in the Greater Orlando area
  • Clean driving record for a minimum of 5 years
  • Knowledge of interior tropical plants with prior experience working with plants either in a similar position, greenhouses, gardening, retail, or other.
  • Comfortable driving and navigating in traffic to service an assigned regular route.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in horticulture-related fields such as gardening with knowledge of interior types of foliage, and prior interior landscape experience.
  • Hands-on experience with maintaining plants indoors; knowledge of plant care best practices.
  • Strong understanding of interior landscape maintenance principles and watering practices.
  • Physical stamina to perform duties of walking, use of step to 6' ladder, bending, kneeling, driving in traffic in various weather conditions; ability to lift up to 50 pounds for water machine and plant materials when necessary.
  • Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills with customer service and management and ability to work independently.
